Sanibel Island: Bowman's Beach Bowman's Beach offers some of the island's best shelling and most remote beach space. There is a quarter mile or walk from the parking lot to the beach. Dogs on a leash are allowed on Bowman's Beach. Sanibel Island: Lighthouse Park Beach The park offers beach access, but swimming is not recommended due to causeway currents. Sanibel Island: Tarpon Bay Road Beach Tarpon Bay Road Beach is located at the southern end of Tarpon Bay Road, at the intersection of Tarpon Bay Road West The beach is 8 mile south of Periwinkle Way. St. Petersburg: Abercrombie Park, Park St. and 38th Ave. N., St. Petersburg, 33709 Abercrombie Park is located just west of Park Street between 38th Avenue and 39th Avenue North. A quarter-mile path leads to the small dog beach this city park. Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed the park and on the beach. St. Petersburg: Gandy Beach Gandy Beach is located along the south side of the Gandy Bridge between Tampa and Pinellas County. Dogs are allowed on the beach. Tampa: Islands Dog Beach and Park OFF-LEASH DOG BEACH. Islands Dog Parks are located at 1002 Severn Ave on Islands. The parks are two seperate fenced areas located at the South end of the Island, past the O. Knight Airport. The dry dog park is approximately 1 acre. The only Pinellas County park where dogs are allowed on the beach is the dog park at Fort De Soto park. addition to having side-by-side, fenced- dog parks for small and big dogs, Fort De Soto Park has a strip of beach available for dog owners and their furry friends to run without a leash. Dog owners can lay out on the beautiful, white beach and let their dogs socialize with dozens of other animals. If your dog is hot and thirsty, back the fenced dog park is a cooling off area with a hose and two water fountains, one for humans and one for dogs. Once inside Ft.
